The Holts Summit Police
Department is always taking applications. We are an EOE that is
always looking for individuals with a high motivation factor
that will be a good addition to our team. Here at HSPD we strive
to have the team mentality which allows us to be at our best at
all times. Education, professionalism and physical training is
what keeps us moving forward in this tough world.

Qualifications
|
| 1. |
All applicants
must be 21 years of age and possess a HS Diploma or
equivalent. |
| 2. |
You must be
able to pass an extensive criminal back ground check. |
| 3. |
You must be
physically and mentally able to perform the various
duties associated with law enforcement. |
| 4. |
You must be
able to take copious notes and transcribe that
information into detailed reports in a timely manor. |
| 5. |
You must issue
citations, make legal arrests, and appear in court when
required. |
| 6. |
You must be
available for regular duty and unannounced crisis
situations. |
| 7. |
You must be
able to remain professional and non-biased when
enforcing the law and interacting with the public. |
| 8. |
You must be
willing to learn and able to attend department training
in order to stay abreast of current case law, advanced
law enforcement training techniques and procedures. |

You must be
motivated and maintain a neat professional appearance. |

Future Officers
Prospective police officers in Missouri must
graduate from one of several regional or department-operated police
academies. All of the academies in the state meet requirements set forth
by Missouri Peace Officer Standards and Training Program.
